OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY
Otorhinolaryngology outpatient department is located in the new block of general hospital kozhikode.
The department has three Consultants and one junior consultant It functions as two units and out patient services are available to public from monday to saturday from 8.00am to 1.00pm at OP No 42
Daily op turnover is about 250

Apart from routine ENT services we provide special services and Investigation like Videolaryngoscopy, Nasal endoscopy,functional endoscopic sinus surgeries FESS & Microscopic ear surgeries.
NATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DEAFNESS is being implemented in the district through our department under the leadership of District Nodal officer Dr,TN Suresh.

Pure tone audiometry
Tympanometry & Reflexometry
Oto Acoustic Emission (OAE)
Special tests (TOT & STAT)
Speech audiometry
Newborn hearing screening
Hearing aid trial and Hearing aid programming
Speech and language evaluation
Speech therapy and Voice therapy
These facilities are co ordinated by Audiologists ( Mr.Varun B and Shimna Sukumaran )and one special educator for the hearing impaired( Mrs Sindhu P N)
