• As a dedicated centre of comprehensive healthcare in government sector paediatric department of government general hospital kozhikode offers a high quality of medical service free of cost by a team of highly qualified and well experienced Paediatricians with the support of specially trained nurses and other paramedical personnel.
  Our services include 
  1 Out patient department  provides clinical and psychological support for the children under 12 years, Individually taking the whole family in to account. 
  Some of the patients are referrred from outside and most others directly come to the OPD.
  OP time is from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm daily except on Sundays (Common OPD on Sunday)
  A well equipped emergency department is also accessible to public for 24 hours. For improving the quality of services the team of Paediatricians are divided in to two units.

  2 NICU A level 2 A SNCU is functioning in close proximity to LR and Operation theatre 
  Delivery cases per month on an average is 80 to 90 including caesarian section.Bed strength is 15 with equipments like phototherapy unit and warmers.Seperate rooms for treating septic cases neonatal jaundice are available.
  24 hours on call Paediatrician is available.

  3 Paediatric ward

             

                Ensures a safe and clean atmosphere with well cleaned and maintained surroundings preventing cross infection. Well ventilated verandah and ward with enough space are successfully managed by the team of a head nurse and 4 staff nurses. Windows are protected from mosquitos by mesh. Bed strength is 26 with an isolation cubicle, privacy providing procedure room and examination room, isolation areas for communicable diseases for preventing cross infection. Recreational area including television, rocking chairs, play equipments, paediatric library containing special reading area etc.. making hospitilisation a pleasing event for inmates.

     Health insurance packages including RSBY,RBSK, AK, and JSSK are available in this hospital making the full treatments free of cost.

     24hrs XRAY ECG and LABORATORY are availble at out hospital 

•    Total IP cases per year are more than 2000 and the refering cases from hospital  is less than 50
